How it all got started:

It was 1990's, the market shifted towards the IBM PC that was running a Microsoft Windows operating system. Microsoft quickly took over the world's PC market leaving the Mac OS behind it. Adobe and Macromedia were competitors in the web development software industry. I was introduced to PC environment and learnt to work with Adobe Photo Shop 4.0 and Microsoft Power Point creating graphics and presentations in my grade 12 computer science class. My involvement with the internet began with Geocities, they were the 90s-era webpage builder and it started my obsession with the web on building home pages. I spent time researching and learning the HTML language outside of school schedule because it was like a trend for every 9th-12th grader to have an "About Me" pages on Geocities in those days. GeoCities was acquired by Yahoo! in 1999; at that time it was the third-most visited website on the World Wide Web.

Web Design wasn't my major plan for continue education until after I went on to college for Arts and Animation at Sheridan College in 2000. I realized and found myself on the computer creating and coding more often, soon enough it was something that I would like to go deeper in to understanding and completed a Humber College course in Web Design, Development and Maintenance. I was able to combine my arts and animation background in conjunction to animations for the web using the available vector animation tools provided by Macromedia.

This obsession has opened many new doors and it created a successful career path for myself. It's a job I don't mind doing every day and therefore I've always felt like I've never been stressing over work. "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." - Confucius
